VTS idle (different to the usual question)

  1. #1
I know this has been asked alot of times before but this is a bit different. 03 VTS running a 4-2-1 with a straight through exhaust (few other bits too but I think this might be relevant)
The car rough idles and then stops, it usually lasts for about a month then stops, has happened about 3 times in last 12 months. I usually change the plugs in that time so I always thought it was that. It also loses revs when I accelerate in first gear and is choking and generally sluggish when this happens.

I was thinking if was an ICV or any of the usual stuff it would be constant and not go away? Just find it strange it comes and goes. Any ideas.

    Cheers

    Coilpacks can be temperamental.
I've had any injector that played up when the engine was warm.

Coilpack has been recently changed. It is one injector down has been for a while, really need to get around to sorting it! Am I still wrong in thinking it should run like a bag of s**t all the time then?

Sounds like your it could be your (brown double injection relay)
when this fails it does the above problems.
This can be found in the engine bay underneath the ecu..

When mine went pop few months back, mine limpt back along the a500between 3 and 2 cylinders, when I check on my snap on reader it pointed me to this relay.
I swopped over with new one,and reset ecu system.
