kms mp25

   hi
   
   I have recently bought a second hand kms mp25 ecu and loom and looking to see if anyone else is running this ecu , thoughts ?
   
   also looking for some information on the wiring , loom was for a 206 2.0l witch was turbo charged as will my little saxo
   
   it will be going in a late (three plug) saxo vtr running a 1600 xsi engine , again turbocharged
   
   have a spare single plug loom I can butcher if needed
   
   any help will be greatly appreciated

   I have mapped them before but the software is a bit clunky and old-fashioned. Features are pretty basic too really.
   
   Personally I much prefer to use ECUs with knock control on turbo engines.
   
   Are you aware that the late Saxo three plug can be mapped to take boost and it does have knock control as standard?

   I recently just fitted a haltech 2500 to my civic type r bought from a place near me in west yorks, if you know what you are doing with wiring this is a much easier way of fitting a Ecu, you get a choice of 2.5 or 4m length of loom then just follow the wiring colours to sensor diagram and solder/ fit new connectors where available.
   
   Mapping was really easy with base maps available for a hell of a lot of models along with different maps for different upgrades.
   
   Worth a look as they are hugely mappable can even get extras to run ethanol/alcohol mixes with petrol or full alcohol set ups.

   Well I got the ecu for a really good price and my local tuner has done a fair few kms maps and is happy to do it so seemed like the logical choice
   
   The category the car runs in works on power to weight ratio and I only need 160 bhp per ton (wheel hp) so didn't think knock would be much of an issue considering the low ish power required ?

   Possibly not if it's mapped conservatively on the ignition, and also assumung you don't want to upgrade the power in the future?

   I think this power output will suit the rest of the car so I dout I'll move from this class ,

   how easy is it to make with original clocks work and not bring on the engine management light ?
