Help a newbie out!

    Hi guys new to this site and to the French side I recently bought a saxo vtr mk2 I think, and today I had a custom made cat back decat put on witch isn't as loud as I wanted the exhaust guys explained to me it would be a lout louder if I got a 4-1 manifold put on as it removes another silincer does anyone know if this is correct or is this not the case ps I want it brain damaging loud because I'm a crazy Scottish fool hopfuly Someone with experiance sees this and replys cheers.

    If you have the catalytic converter in the manifold it will be louder if you replace it otherwise it-s not going to make any noticeable difference in the sound.

    Cheers mate I'm sure it is but the guys were adamant that the mk2s had two cats and they already replaced it with a decat , I think iv been had

    No,Saxos only have 1 cat...

    If you want loud then get a cherry bomb! Mine drove me bonkers it was so loud

    Mk2 had a precat in the manifold and another cat under car, so what they said makes sense

    cat is on manifold --no other cat on car
    mk2 has 2 lambda probes --not 2 cats

    I thought wrong then, maybe I was thinking of a silencer under the car lol.
