#2Oooo wheeeeeeee. I am alive - the saxo is still alive and is coming over to me to get put back on the road. Well I may have to go see Mr P too
Also need to find someone to MOT it - or should I say someone who will pass it ha.
I'll get some pics up soon should be in my garage in a month or two. -
#3A few still loitering in here I bet.
May be at VTS number 3 in a few weeks!!! #Hoarder -
#4No I died and went to hell
Turns out I was already in hell
So they sent me back -
#5Kinda... need to get on with it once the house is done!
-
#6I'm alive.
Forgot what my password was, so had to reset it -
#8I'm back after a few years away. Was regular on 106oc until it died

Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

#9Im still here, and have another Saxo. All the cool cunts come back.
-
#10Still log in now and then for a bit of nostalgia, and to check if there are any VTS's listed just for the enthusiasts for cheap *dreaming*
-
#11Just logged in after seeing a comment on fb, 'PM PRICKLE' laughed my head off.
Don't have my saxo anymore, But my brother is restoring his black S1 rallye.
Trip down memory lane seeing some avatars on here -
#12You will struggle to pm him now, he lives on the outer edges of Mongolia living in a teepee build out of braided panda hair eating moss and mould cultivated in his green house made of stacked bottles. If you act quickly you can send a raven with a message as the jet stream will be passing his front door flap in a couple of weeks.Quote:Just logged in after seeing a comment on fb, 'PM PRICKLE' laughed my head off.

#13Still here too. Been popping in and out of here over the last few years to keep an eye on things.
The Venetian Red Saxo went to the scrap man 2 years ago today funny enough. I've got a gold 106 now that's gone full race car style. I'll get a thread started soon maybe. See how this next lockdown goes!! -
#14Too busy polishing his Volvo and bumping old posts of his VTS and greetin about polishing that as well.Quote:You will struggle to pm him now, he lives on the outer edges of Mongolia living in a teepee build out of braided panda hair eating moss and mould cultivated in his green house made of stacked bottles. Not only that, but he now has a Yellow Seicento, so no doubt that'll be getting the full polish as well. -
#15Parts of me have died, but there's a little life left in the rest of me.
-
#16Weirdly enough saw the smoothed red saxo on a fast car fb post, then as I posted pretty sure saxo 180 posted too and then I had come on see what's happening too

#17Tumbleweed......

-
#25i'm here. not a big poster but allways looking. the mrs talked me into keeping my 10sax as we went for a blast christmas day, me in the saxo, mrs in r53jcw and daughter in mad 230bhp r56. they both said i should sell my mini project and keep the saxo 106 hybrid as mini's are common! ok then :-) needs an axle though!
-
#26Just popping in to bump my post coust and say hello.
The VTS is still alive (garaged during winter), I am also alive (garaged all the frigging time currently).

"Welcome, MikeCracknell.

I've had 5 saxos, obvs Suki, but she's long gone, and a few other runabouts. Last one went back in 2017.
Instead, now I just have 3 Fiesta ST's lol! -
#37Yes quite so, Just go up from sleep and going to sleep again
-
#38I remember the hard decision of what colour to paint my mirror caps. Posi blue or white. I wish life was that hard now.
-
#39Bump lolloll
-
#40Yes very much alive!
Bought a knackered VTR for restoration a few months back! Was a regular at 106OC about 10+ years ago! -
#41Just passing through - noticed values have been going up quite rapidly recently...
Saw this article from a couple of months ago: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/maga...e-time-is-now/ -
#42Yes it's pretty interesting, I miss my 106 GTi but i'd NEVER buy one with a five figure sum. that's just bonkers.Quote:Just passing through - noticed values have been going up quite rapidly recently...

#43thats the way of things -- good ones that have no rust are getting very rare
my son in law has collected 5 106 rallyes and gtis and due to move now needs space
Idid warn you all years ago to start cllecting good rust free ones as it s the last small sensibly priced car -- like the old mini and they will be collectors for them out there.
my friends tommy makinen evo6 went to auction last week
no1 of 50 -- 11k mileage from new --made over 100K at auction
so lots of money out there looking for an investment -
#44The price of a TME is scary, could get good one 10-15 years ago for about £5k.Quote:thats the way of things -- good ones that have no rust are getting very rare

Wish I had bought one -
#45Hey GMC what happened your website went down a while back have you stopped trading now.
-
#46I wanted to relive my youth and bought a 106gti, if I'm honest it wasn't as good as I remembered.
-
#47I only just joined so not sure about "still here" but hi!
-
#49Got my yearly happy birthday so I had to pop back and see forum names I recognise lol. Moved on a long time ago from my Saxo and now working on making my gen 2 Mazda 6 a what if MazdaSpeed.
-
#50 Nice to see this lovely old place still going! Would love another saxo. They commanding strong money at the moment!
-
#51Ello’
-

Good to see you are still around!! Are you guys still messing with cars or has that all ceased? -
#57Oh hello there you degenerate so and so's
-
#59Still on every now and then got a ae86 with a k24 turbo now and a furio that I'm gathering bits for to turbo
-
#60Yes and maybe
-
#61Wow its been a while! How you doing mate?Quote:Oooo wheeeeeeee. I am alive - the saxo is still alive and is coming over to me to get put back on the road. Well I may have to go see Mr P too

#62I'm new to the forum too! I wish I was a part of this community when I still had my Saxo
DD Would have helped me to save time, money and my nerves trying to figure it out on my own.
-
#63Yah, still here, check in once a year. I've had another vtr, 16v converted and currently in the process of forging the engine, waiting on my Tubular manifold and g25-550 turbo. Should be a fun build
-
#64still around! lurking mostly.
Still have my original Saxo its been garaged now for nearly 12 years. -
#65Hows it going everyone 😂
-
#66I'm still with the saxo , it's getting a lot more interest now it's back on the road
-
#67Hi huns xoxox
My best mate still has his Saxo of 15 years, Suki is long dead, and my other friend Terry still has his.
I just have a fleet of ST's now lols -
#69Well, I'm gaining 106's again
About to buy a 1.1... to go with my 16v and my 1.3 Rallye. -
#70This scene seems to have went very quiet for a few years now but I suspect these forums will start to busy up again. The Saxo's seem to be of a decent price point now but still limited number of for sale ads.
I see my old 2 tone VTS hasn't been MOT'd since 2015 (S4XOD / SH51ZBZ) so assume it's in the bin now.
Considering picking one up and seeing if the value rises.
I see a few familiar names on here from the old SSC days. -
#71Am alive, I don't have a Saxo Vtr anymore tho I got a Citroen C2 Code.
-
#72bought mine just over a year ago coming from 205GTIs and the drivers forum to this one and this one seemed dead, hope it does come back as its hitting me right in the nostalgia, i assume since facebook came along its easier to share images ect instead of the good old days of photobucket links was a bit of a pain
-
#74Still here. Pm prickle
-
#75Hopefully getting a vts this week. 15 years since I last had one
-

-
#82I logged in today after years.. had messages from 2019
Hope everyone is doing well and still enjoying cars!
I’m just on the verge of buying my 3rd Saxo which will accompany my 911 GT3 as the fun cars! -
#83Almost 5 months on and its all very quiet.
-
#84Definitely is, shame really but at least the site lives on to look back on old how two posts etc, all be it with many now corrupt or deleted Photobucket links..
