Way back when My brother had a Red s1 Rallye road going rally car, M131 JFJ, at every opportunity i wanted to be out in it. we then brought a black S1 Rallye to modify between us a few months later i brought my brother out of the car and went on to put it back on the road and use as a daily, Modifications to the black one are as follows, Cammed 1.3 8v, port and polished head, pug sport exhuat with a supersprint manifold, rallye inlet. Sparco pro 2000 bucket seat. i loved this car but just used it far too much it ended up being rear ended and a cat b. resulting in it being probably now a few cat food tins. a year later was when i brought my S2 Rallye for spares and repairs on ebay. (blind buy)

Having wrote the black one off and buying a mk1 Fabia VRS - it didnt tickle the itch i needed another 106, i bought it blind of ebay, and my mum intercepted it whilst i was away training for the week turns out it was actually in half decent condition but the second day i got back i took the engine out for a clean of the bay and to refit the standard engine shortly

I remember seeing the picture of the black s1 on Facebook!

Anyways, yes this is definitely the place to blog now. RallyeRegister hasn't been "fixed" and there's no 106owners since 2015.

I presumer you're keeping hold of the 8v engine?
