  1. #1
Does anyone have a detailed process they could upload? mail? or link ?

Basically, this is what I know, please feel free to add/amend-

    1) Remove tyres
    2) Sand down alloy with some wet&dry - Just lightly? or to the bare metal? what grade(s) would be best?
    3) Apply filler to any damage/scratches etc. (Std car filler?)
    4) Smooth again
    5) Wipe down (Panel wipe etc)
    6) Apply 2-3 coats of primer (Which type is best? and how long between each coat)
    7) Should I smooth again and wipe before final colour?
    8) Apply 2-3 coats of fianl colour.
    9) Final should I apply a clear laquer? no of coats?

When first sanding I did it a fair bit, but to get it to bare metal you'd have to sand blast them really.
After your primer, I used a coat or 2 of whats known as 'filler primer', which basically covered any blemishes/imperfections. Then I painted with colour.

As for lacquer, you can never use too much really. The more the better.
    4 coats I did!!

1 wash shit off really well
2 sand down (dont have togo to far)
3 fill holes and dints (normal filler is fine)
    4 smooth off
    5 wipe clean
    6 primer
7 wet and dry so you get a real smooth finish
    8 paint (3-4 coats)
    9 laquer (4 + coats)

id use grade 1200 or 1000 when sanding after primer
and use 600 or 800 for other sanding

as al said using filler primmer helps with blemishs
