changeing link rods - much work?

I need to change both the front link rods on my car and wondered if there is much work and how i go about it?

is there a step by step guide on here? do i need any special tools?

they're really easy to do. you need sockets (17mm i think, might be 19mm), and i used vice grips behind the nut to stop it turning when you wind it off. When you get the new one just take your front wheel off and have a look and it will all make perfect sense. oh and buy a Haynes manual.

I use an angle grinder and just buy new ones

it seems like they are only £15-20 for the pair and if its that simple worth doing then, still not sure if this is the cause of my problems but worth trying at that cost.
