Help with alloy refurbishment

    Hi guys

    Recently got my VTR which has some Wolfrace Urban Racer 17" with 205/40/17 tyres on them, which from what I've seen from new would cost in the margin of £400+ brand new, and I dont know but from a little research brand new tyres would cost around £200+ too, but I don't know if people sell second hand tyres?

    Anyway... on to my problem

    I would like to sell these alloys, even though they are fairly nice I don't think 17s suit a saxo well and they arn't to my taste.

    These alloys have had a fair bit of use, and are from what Ive compared to, fairly badly curbed.

    so, do I:

    • Sell the alloys as they are, and let the next owner decide if they want to refurbish them?
    • Refurbish the alloys which from what I've seen will cost in the region of atleast £200 professionally and then sell?


    I'm looking for maximum profit -
    what do you reckon they will sell for unrefurbished?
    what do you reckon they will sell for refurbished?

    Side note: does anyone know how hard it is to refurb yourself? could I do this? I'm thinking probably not but alot of people on here seem to be doing it to VTS alloys etc.

    Also, if you can throw sum cheap alloy refurbisher websites to me that would be helpful

    they do look a tad battered and wouldnt expect much from them in that state

    it spritty simple todo yourself

    taking your time and prep is they key

    yeah i might give it a bash actually

    anyone find a guide for refurbishment of this? if i wanted them in the original finish, what paint would i use?

    do it your self and respray them or just sell them as they are
