best manifold to get for a 2000 vtr?

i obviously want performance but i really want my car to sound louder at the same time, whats the best manifold to get? whats the cheapest? any help?

best i would get gmc 4-1, 4-1 gives better mid range and top end power
or 4-2-1 (raceland) for lower down power.

Being honest cant see the point in getting a 4-2-1 manifold on a vtr if wanting more power for fun. as already has good lower range power, plus when your giving it some when do you ever have the revs under 3k? so if wanting a performance manifold get a 4-1 for higher range as thats where your revving it when giving it some.
If you get what i mean.

People seem happy with the raceland manifolds, from ones i seen they are poor build quality imo, they are relatively cheap, cam racing does them or try your look with a best offer on ebay.
But it depends if you have your cat in your downpipe or under the car to if its worth getting one, if your lucky enough to have a 90bhp (cat under the car single plug ecu) then you will be fine, if you have a 98bhp (cat in downpipe 3 plug ecu) with the raceland you have to move your oil filter and other things.

If you do have a 3 plug i would get a gmc 4-1 as you dont have to relocate the oild filter.

Do you know how to tell if you have a 98 or 90 vtr? as some 2000 have either all go get a link of a thread i did.

gmc 4-1 fits like a dream

dont have to move oil filter

    and gives good gains to

raceland is thin as fuck, doesnt fit well either, glows red, will eventually distort, crack and fall apart.

    as i posted on ssc

imo, its just becasue its thin as fuck steel. in time it will keep hardening itself, distort adn eventually crack. people havent that long had them but give them time and there will be a lot of fucked 'kitkat-land' manifolds.

this was a reply as to why a raceland was glowing red.

lol, have you seen the difference between the manfolds?

just dont drop your racelands when fitting them, or they will vibrate away down the street
