will a vts bodykit go straight onto a saxo 1.1??
    thanks ryan

Is yours a mk1 or a mk2? You will have a problem with the rear arches as the base models pretrudes lower than on the vt* models.

For it to look right you will need to get the rear arches cut.

are the wings diffrent sizes on the vtrs than the 1.1s you it not be easier just changing the wings to avoid drilling holes in the body work??
  7. #7
My front arches went on fine mate, no mods involved for the front.

The rear you have either got to cut the pretruding part of the 1.1 arch or i suppose you could try and moddify the arch your putting on by fibreglass or something. Not sure how it would look though.

Most of the bodykit will already fit into previous holes already drilled into the car where your runstrips are.

Heres a pic of my car whilst trial fitting my bodykit.

You can see the bit of tape below the rear arch. This is the bit that needs to be cut.

Yep you can just swap the wings over if you want to, no problem with that Just depends if you want to pay out for a new wing aswel.

In regards to the kit it doesnt matter if its from a Mk1 or Mk2 saxo, VT kits are exactly the same

once finished cant you tell the diffrence between the original and 1.1?? or is there slight diffrences
thanks think ill be doing this very soon
  10. #10
do you mean cosmetic differences? only ones i can think of are rear spoiler, vtr alloys, mirror caps and exhaust
  11. #11
If all of those bits are changed the bit giveaway that its still anything less than a 1.6 model is that you'll still have drums on the rear instead of disks

Alot of work but the VT kitted Sax just looks right - if you know what I mean.

Its like Mk3 Fiesta's in base model format they dont quite look rite but with the XR/RS arches skirts and bumpers they look spot on.

Do it and do it rite and your wonder why you didnt do it sooner
  13. #13
do you need the door extentions like on ebay??
  14. #14
you need front arches, rear arches, door panels, sideskirts and front and rear bumpers.
