spraying alloy wheels

    is this an easy task? or best left to professionals, id like to spray my wheels gloss black but im a bit worried i may fuck em up n make em look crap, wana know how easy it is? wether its best i take it to professionals or is it ok using spray cans ?

    i was the same mate and decided to do them myself and thay turned out great and i used spray cans still look new 4 months down the line. try urself and if u mess them up give them to the pros to finish.

    Either mask the tyre up or if you got a spare set or stands remove the tyres.

    Wash and degrease the wheel

    Wet and dry the surface to get rid of any scatches and to get the prima a good surface to stick to.

    If an deep scratchs or lumps taken out due to kerbing use some filler and sand again.

    Prime

    Paint

    Lacyer

    Finial posh and maybe a slight cut to take the top coat back slightly

    Allow all coats to dry in their correct time fit back to the car and enjoy

    Depends what wheel you are spraying tbh how hard it is. TBH doing them Super T's really wernt easy because of how many spokes there was but doing VTR/S wheels shouldnt be too tricky.
