meshing and debadging?!

  1. #1
ok, two questions in here, cuz i cudnt be bothered makin 2 different threads.. cuz thats just silly..

    1. im guna mesh my front grill, remove the slats and put in mesh..
i cant find any decent mesh.. was in B&Q and the mesh they had was gay lookin large squares, and i want tiny little squares or pentagons or whatever they come in lol.
    where can i source mesh?
and can it be bought in black? or do i need to paint it?
and if so, which paint should i use, obviously outdoor metal paint as it wont rust? and where can i buy it from?

    2. im looking to debadge my boot, removing the citroen and saxo badge leaving it nice and smooth..
tho, i think i remember reading somewhere here before that it leaves holes as theres pins in the back of the badges...
i aint overly sure tho, and wud rather someone told me, than me goin and jerkin them off to find ive just arsed up the boot of my saxo!
cuz if it leaves holes, that means ill have to get it filled and sprayed, and thats simply too much work for me to be gettin done, i got other plans for my money!
tho if its just a matter of rippin em off and removin the glue, then happy forkin days! lol.

ok folks, get helpin me out! im in the mood for dishin out rep so get workin biatches! whitisssh whitishhh! (thats my whip sound!)

badges will leave holes mate so its a case of filling them with weld, grinding down, then filler sanding primer and paint

you could always colour code the badges

as for the mesh try ebay or halfords, it can be bought in black but its simple to just spray

As above. R-tec stock the black mesh in different styles. The holes in the boot will need welding. Just t-cut them and they will go black.

my nearest halfrauds is quite far away..
    hardware stores no?
pred tried givin u some rep, tho says i gota spread my rep love to other before i give u some again lol..
so ill spread the seed that is my rep, and hit ya with some when it allows me!

    http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67162

Is actually ripspeed mesh from halfords (the only ripspeed product i would ever buy)... it cost a fair whack £25... but it was black and the perfect size... so thought i would get it

ok guys, i got my mesh!
    and my paint!
got my mesh from a building supplies, i used a plasterers mesh, cost me £4 for a big massive load of it..
got my paint from a motor accessories shop, its just a black spray paint for use on cars.

    already nearly done my grille..
spent past few hours removin the slats, tricky job sayin i didnt have the use of a dremmell.
so used a coping saw, some files, and a bitta sandpaper!
    did the job just fine!

ill be updating my progress thread with the works shortly after im done!
thanks to anyone who have me info, have some rep!
