Has anyone bought one of these and do they work? from the instruction ive been sent for them it looks like its just a 2-3 inch extension off the ball on the left side of the longest gearlink and am not sure if this would do anything?
Quickshift, has anyone bought one of these?

#2search on here griffiths quickshift. millions have them
-
#3but how much do they cost? this is quite cheap, its 20quid... would this one actually work though?
-
#4theyre cheap new.
ive not fitted one, the way they are meant to work is simply reduce the travel of the gearstick -
#5where can i find one? i cant see any on ebay?
so would my original one i shown in 1st post work or not? -
#6easiest thing in the world to fit, bit tight space but no probs, makes a bit of difference, but can make it difficult to get in gear, a bit 'clunky'

#7Dont buy the ones on ebay that are listed for £29, its a rip off!

#11This is the instruction i got from someone on ebay, i asked before attempting to buy it.
quick shift Fitting instructions
First find the gear linkage bellcrank, this is located on the bulkhead, it has 2 short link rods and a long link rod which come from your gearbox. Carefully lever off the long link rod from the bellcrank balljoint, be careful not to damage the link rod. Now slide the quick shift block over the top of the bracket and ball joint. Make sure it is evenly spaced over the ball joint, now tighten grub screw with 4mm allen key, then tighten nut with 13mm spanner to lock the grub screw.
Clip the link rod you took off earlier too the quick shift balljoint, now check clearance trough all gears.
I find it takes some getting use too when first fitted, but the benefits when you adjust too gear change makes this car a racier little motor too drive.

#15was also thinking about cutting down the gear stick a inch or two, any recommendations to how much to cut off? also after i cut it does any gear knob still fit on?
-
#16someone else did this. Thought there was a guide.
Just go for what you are comfortable with. If its too high then cut a bit more off.
BUT REMEMBER........You can cut more off, but you cant add more on -
#17yea lol, regrets afterwards when you have a inch long gear stick
-
#18is it also supposed to make your gear changes feel more smooth and quick as the gear stick is so long normal lol?
