to a MK2 VTR, what's the chances of getting swarf in the engine block when the hole is tapped on the oil filter...?

#2what exacly are you tapping? If you can hold a magnet near by
If you think you will then drain the oil once youve done it. Fill it with cheap oil and a cheap filter, run it for a few miles then drain and refill with decent oil. Better to be safe than sorry.
But still, ive got no idea what youde be doing when fitting a manifold to get swarf in the oil. -
#3Basically you need to tap the oil return hole, to create a thread so you can put a mk1 oil filter on there to make a raceland manifold fit onto the mk2 block...

use my guide m8 you cant go wrong ask me any questions you like in there. Do the tapping nice and slowly and clean as you go and you will be fine, there wont be much swafe so dont worry. I dont think the renault 5 oil filter is a good way of doing it, stick to saxo parts
