induction kits are a realtively cheap but effective mod... full enclosed kits running from front to back supplying cool air is the best way.
4-2-1 manifolds are another good mod, but may stretch the wallet a little further.
Other things such as strut braces offer improved handling, and are nice and cheap. I also saw a set of (torx?) grooved brake discs for 50 quid at halfrauds, so keep an eye out for a bargain

    Hope this helps

exhaust system ?? lol <<<thats a guess as i dont no much bout power gains etc

I've got exhaust system and a panel k&n air filter. also lowered 35mm all round so handleing is alright. Are cams expensive? As I've heard there meant to be quite good?

All the above have mentioned something about performance VTR's and how to increase...if you search...you will find answer to your questions

EDIT - all the above are different threads

bigger breaks and a better suspension setup is allways a good start mate

    then up the power

what's the good of going faster if you can't stop/turn faster

I think there's a fair bit of margin for modding a VTR considering VTS's share the brakes and suspension setup lol

Strip it, it's free and could even make you money!

    Lower it

    Strip it

    Then get;
    Enclosed induction
    Manifold
    exhaust system

and if your willing to spend a bit more, cam it.

Have a look on Kam Racing they have some quality products + theres a discount too http://www.kamracing.co.uk/citroen-s...3815e75646ef0e

check the manifolds, induction and exhausts this will free up your reving and give you a slight very slight increase in power but you will have a quality noise then look at camming it just a few ideas for ya

    Make it stop better

bigger brakes slow you down better meaning later brakein.

braided lines (get in on group buy now)

    uprated pads (not green poo)
    groovd disks
    larger calipers

strut braces to aid turn in and handling

    get that sortd
    then
    start adding power

i have a vtr. i dropped a vts gearbox in it its so much faster shorter gears my friend has a vts its not much behind that stays with it till about 90-100 on private land obv...i think thats the best you can do buying a vts gear box and you could make most your money back selling your vtr box.
    also enclosed induction kit
4-2-1 manifold with straight through system
a good thing is to uprate your brakes before and...
