Fitting a manifold

    Right just got my self a piper 4-1 manifold, im looking to fit it myself what i need to know is the standard lambda sensor is on the top of the cat,, where as on the piper the hole for the lambda sensor is right at the bottem of the manifold, i've been told there are 2 sensors, but do i use the top one by extending the wires? and what about the other sensor ? thanks

    no need to extend any wires. the lamba from the top of the standard mani will reach down to the hole in the piper. the second lamba sensor (if you have 2 of them) needs sleeving and leaving it fresh air usually somewere under the engine bay or just disconnect it altogether if you can live with the management light being on all the time

    when u put a 4-1 mani on, what happens to ya cat??
    surely u need one to pass emissions tests when MOT is due?
    please explain in simple english lol

    coz i was thinking of getting a sports cat manifold, straight onto sports/race exhaust???

    if you have a cat in the manifold then something like the piper will decat the car

    If you go and fit the piper then you can put a performance cat further down the exhaust system like the early model VTRs or fit something like this..
