well considering ive burnt though my mk2 filtering going to attempt to change it to at mk1 and i was just wondering if the only place that would sell a oil filter adapter would be citroen ? or can you just rip it off a scrapped mk2 ? because guaranteed if i ask citroen ill have to order it and be without a car ! which isnt a option lol

well supersprint ones are meant to miss the mk2 oil filters well ok they do... but there that close even with the heat wrap on that they burn through the mk2 housing on it and cause it to leak oil do mk1 saxos has the adapter in them to fit them straight on to a mk2 ?
If you know what i mean ?

yeah i know what you mean
are you planning to remove the mk2 housing and fit it straight to the block? if so then you will also need to tap the block and bung the oil return valve

Guide to convert to mk1 filter - http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=87713

Had the same problem when I fitted a heatwraped supersprint

So converted to mk1 filter setup

The Oil filter insert was only £2 or £3

Im all happy now converted my oil filter to a mk1
i still think its wrong that they say's it sorts out the oil filter problem when it doesnt =\ as to be fair that is false advertising... but then i guess they would loose alot of money to raceland when people realise you have to change the oil filter anyway...
But everything went to plan today and my mk1 oil filter is now on and i can tell you it revs so much more freely and picks up alot lot better !
