Not as far as I am aware, people sometimes 'port and polish' them but it's a waste of time in all honesty.

I believe it's possible to use the Rallye inlet on some saxo models but Im pretty sure its a ballache for little gain, may be worth a search

In all honesty mate, there are a few ways to get more power but none are very cheap:

    Enclosed Induction kit
    Full Decat Exhaust
    Cam and Remap
    Bodies
    Turbo
    Supercharger

Most people go down the induction kit and decat exhaust route to start and will gain maybe 10% at very most on a VTR (5-10bhp).

Cams and a remap will see a decent amount of extra power but will set you back £700-£1000.

Bodies sound awesome and will give you a decent amount of power also, maybe £1500.

Turbo and Superchargers speak for themselves and you end up down the route of forged internals if you want silly power.

Unfortunately tinkering with existing parts on the VTR is not going to give you a power increase, you have to add for that

Have a quick search on the forum, loads of threads

yea i been looking at the turbo way atm thinking of buying a vtr engine and doing all gaskets all the work before placing it into the car all turbo'd up i know its going to cost but i think the power will justify it lol

I'd of thought the cheapest worthwhile upgrade on a VTR would be 16 valve?

People advertise a 'full kit' but usually there are loads of parts missing.

There is a thread on here which lists all the parts needed:

I would say you are looking at £1k bare minimum if you source 2nd hand parts and do most of the work yourself.......I would budget 2k+ though.

if its single plug the engine is nfz(90bhp). if its 3 plug its nft(98bhp). on the 3 plug the dipstick comes up through the exhaust manifold, and single plug the dipstick is to the right of the exhaust manifold. 3 plug also has cat in the downpipe and single plug is under car
