    Hey. I have been looking around on this forum and the Internet and I'm inexperienced with saxo's so I want some answers.

    I have just bought a 52 plate vtr.

    My friend has a raceland 4-2-1 manifold for his mk1 vtr, and a DECAT pipe..

    Now I know some manifolds fit and some don't because of the mk 2 oil filter but has anyone else been in this exact situation or heard of it.

    The cat is in my manifold so the DECAT is pointless but depending on its length I think it would remove the centre box under the car.

    Any advice. Experiences. Or anything would be great.

    Ether buy a center section from a 1.4 what is straight through anyway or get a Kamracing center secion.

    And the oil filter relocation has been covered loads.

    There is a guide here how to change it over.

    Yeah I have seen the oil filter mod. Will it need to be done definitely? And do you not think that the mk1 DECAT will fit as the centre section?

    Have you got a pic of your engine bay?

    If you have this oil filter, you will need to do it.


    If you have a metal oil filter near the lower left of the engine block you wont.

    As for the decat pipe for center, i'm not sure it'll fit

    Ok I need to do it then, have you done it, or rather do you know a real good place to get the bits, I've had a little look but if there's a secret place then tell me lol. And why would I not fit do you think?

    If you look at the link i put a couple post back it gives all the part numbers.

    you get the parts from citroen, and the decat pipe wont fit your car unless you've got a mk1 center section, your car with a 4-2-1 manifold will be de-catted anyway so forget the de-cat pipe you dont need it

    Do you mean you need to move the oil filter on a mk1 or mk2 for a 4-2-1 mani?

    buy the kam racing 4-1 mani dont have to move the oil filter then.

    It wont fit as a Mk2 centre section runs from the manifold to the back box, the decat pipe has nowhere to go.
